A Decade and a Half: FAITH has been good to me

Fifteen years: a significant portion of a lifetime, especially when spent within the halls of one institution. As I stand on the brink of graduation, I find myself compelled to reflect on the journey that has brought me to this moment. My time at FAITH has been nothing short of transformative: shaping my academic prowess, character, values, and aspirations.

When I first walked through the doors of FAITH, I was a wide-eyed three-year-old, filled with curiosity and apprehension about the journey that lay ahead. Little did I know that those doors would become portals to endless opportunities and growth. In those early years, I learned the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic but, more importantly, I began to discover the joy of learning and the camaraderie of friendship. As the years passed, my relationship with FAITH deepened.

It became more than just a place of education; it became a second home, a community where I felt supported, challenged, and valued. The teachers who guided me along the way were more than educators: they were mentors, advocates, and inspirations. From Mr. Boateng’s Eight-timestable songs to Mrs. Yartey’s Geography to Mr. Meisuh’s Add Math class, FAITH has been a journey indeed. Their passion for teaching ignited a similar passion within me, driving me to excel not just for the sake of grades, but for the pursuit of knowledge and personal growth of course, no journey is without its challenges, and mine was no exception.

There were moments of doubt, frustration, and even failure. But through it all, FAITH gave me the resilience and support to persevere. Whether it was the encouragement of Mrs. Christabel Ninson, the friendship of a fellow A-level Biology student, or the school’s resources, I never felt alone in my struggles. Instead, I found strength in believing every obstacle was an opportunity for growth and self-discovery. I explored my interests and talents more deeply as I progressed through the grades. From joining the Dance & Drama Club in Form 1 to the school’s football team in Lower 6, each experience enriched my education and helped me discover facets of myself I never knew existed. FAITH encouraged me to follow my passions and expand my horizons. As I prepare to bid farewell to FAITH, I do so with nostalgia and anticipation. I am nostalgic for the countless memories created within these walls: from the laughter echoing through the walls to the quiet moments of reflection in the library. I am also anticipating the adventures that await beyond these familiar grounds, armed with the knowledge, skills, and values instilled in me by FAITH. Ultimately, my fifteen-year journey through FAITH has been nothing short of extraordinary. It has been a journey of growth, discovery, and transformation, shaping me into the person I am today and preparing me for the challenges and opportunities.

As I step out into the world beyond these walls, I carry with me the lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the memories cherished, knowing that wherever life may lead, I will always be grateful for the foundation laid by FAITH Montessori School
