Faith School came alive on Saturday, 10th December, 2025, as the school community gathered in the assembly hall for its annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. The atmosphere was reverent and joyful as scripture, music, and drama combined to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
The programme opened with the school hymn, “Our Faith Is Built on Nothing Less,” followed by prayers and a brief address by the Head Teacher. Certificates were also presented, recognising the achievements of pupils and celebrating academic excellence.
The Nine Lessons were thoughtfully arranged to trace God’s redemptive plan: from prophecy to the birth of Christ. Each lesson was paired with a fitting carol, deepening the spiritual impact of the readings. Carols such as “Joy to the World,” “Angels Sing Hallelujah,” “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” were beautifully rendered by the Nursery, Infant, Junior, and Senior Choirs.
One of the highlights of the evening was the enthusiastic participation of Faith parents. The Faith Mummies delivered a touching performance of “Away in a Manger,” while the Faith Daddies confidently led “O Come All Ye Faithful,” much to the delight of the audience.
The Christmas drama added colour and excitement to the programme, skillfully blending humour with a powerful message about the birth of Christ. The School Orchestra further enriched the celebration with melodious accompaniments.
The night concluded with a vote of thanks, closing prayers, and a final carol, “Ye Ma Mo Afrehyia Pa,” bringing the programme to a meaningful close. Faith School’s Carols Night was truly memorable, reminding all present of the hope, joy, and salvation that Christmas represents.
