Serendipity

I still remember the day I stepped foot on FAITH grounds like it was yesterday: the day was bright, the sun was hot and I was anxious, anxious about whether I would be chosen to be a student of this highly esteemed establishment. The decision was between two schools: Lincoln International School and Faith Montessori School and I thank God every-day for choosing FMS for me. FMS was the transformation I did not know I needed.

Undulating

There is a common physics concept that explains how a ball reaches its destination faster when it moves on an undulating trail, rather than moving on a smooth, straight trail.

My journey at FAITH is an example of this concept. My time at Faith Montessori School has been marked by challenges that have shaped me into the resilient and confident young woman I am today. Through the Christian and academic values instilled in me at FAITH, I learned the value of rigorous and intrinsically-motivated learning, navigating obstacles with curiosity and passion. Despite moments of frustration and doubt, I emerged stronger, armed with a sense of self-reliance and determination. (more…)

Changes: A Love Testament

Challenges only ignited my determination and like a flower in adversity, I bloomed. Here, I have made life-long friends and gained so many new learning experiences that I will treasure for a long time.

Over the years, I have changed so much as a result of this school. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a single thing. Looking back, I think of how far I have come and my evolution into the young man I am today. (more…)

A Decade of Grace

For ten transformative years, Faith Montessori School has been my sanctuary, my second home, a place where education transcends boundaries, and grace abounds. Teachers and peers have offered unwavering support, guiding me with empathy. (more…)

Navigating the Maze

My journey at FAITH has been a winding path, marked by both challenges and moments to remember. The idea of transitioning into a new school for my final two years stirred in me a mix of anticipation and uncertainty but reflecting on the experience, I find a subtle bitter sweetness in the memories.

Walking through the halls of FAITH on my first day, my whole being filled with anxiety, I never expected to grow so familiar and comfortable with the environment and the people around me and in such a short span of time. (more…)

The Building Blocks for tomorrow: My journey at FAITH

The day I walked into I FAITH, I was welcomed I with a warmness I could never forget. Mr. Chrysanthus, Ama, Kishi and Isaac were some of the first people in my new class to ever talk to me. They made me feel as if I was a long-lost friend who had just returned to school and after my first day, I wasn’t opposed to the idea of actually being part of the FAITH community.

I was never quite able to quickly grasp the syllabus but Auntie Emma (May her soul rest in peace) made me realize that it wasn’t beyond my reach. She and I had remediation classes for a full term and thanks to the LaSaCaWac method, learning actually became easier. (more…)

From Uncertainty to Triumph

My enrolment at Faith Montessori School with serendipitous encounter between Uncle Pee and my mother when they met at an Old Achimota School event. That was when my parents were introduced to FAITH. They followed up with an initial visit to School Daddy and, undoubtedly, School Daddy wowed them. My parents were thoroughly impressed by the educational philosophy outlined by the FAITH schema. Subsequently, I had the opportunity to meet with School Daddy, who displayed a genuine interest in my academic aspirations. He took time to outline the benefits of a FAITH education and how I would succeed and do great things in FAITH. (more…)
